Yes, though I think smartphone apps have mostly replaced the need for Craigslist ... which in turn was starting to replace the old cruising scene that existed way before my time. Tearooms and adult arcades and that stuff were the Grindr of their day, I think. I remember reading about busts in a local park when I was 15 and being so intrigued with the concept of it, haha.
There's also not much different (in my opinion) about going to a club with the full intent of getting laid within the same night, save for the fact that you have a better chance to make sure you wind up with someone you're really into and there's less judgmental, social stigma attached to getting your one-night-stand jollies that way.
