Judicial Watch Warns California to Clean Voter Registration Lists or Face Federal Lawsuit

http://www.judicialwatch.org/press-room/press-releases/judicial-watch-warns-california-clean-voter-registration-lists-face-federal-lawsuit/

Data Show LA, San Diego, San Francisco Have More Registered Voters than Eligible Adult Citizens – LA Voting Rolls Have 144% of the Total Number of Eligible Residents

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced it sent a notice-of-violation letter to the state of California and 11 of its counties threatening to sue in federal court if it does not clean its voter registration lists as mandated by the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA). Both the NVRA and the federal Help America Vote Act require states to take reasonable steps to maintain accurate voting rolls. The August 1 letter was sent on behalf of several Judicial Watch California supporters and the Election Integrity Project California, Inc.

In the letter, Judicial Watch noted that public records obtained on the Election Assistance Commission’s 2016 Election Administration Voting Survey and through verbal accounts from various county agencies show 11 California counties have more registered voters than voting-age citizens: Imperial (102%), Lassen (102%), Los Angeles (112%), Monterey (104%), San Diego (138%), San Francisco (114%), San Mateo (111%), Santa Cruz (109%), Solano (111%), Stanislaus (102%), and Yolo (110%).

In the letter, Judicial Watch noted that Los Angeles County officials “informed us that the total number of registered voters now stands at a number that is a whopping 144% of the total number of resident citizens of voting age.”

Under Section 8 of the NVRA, states are required to make a reasonable effort to remove the names of ineligible voters from official lists due to “the death of the registrant” or “a change in the residence of the registrant,” and requires states to ensure noncitizens are not registered to vote.

There is “strong circumstantial evidence that California municipalities are not conducting reasonable voter registration list maintenance as mandated under the NVRA,” Judicial Watch wrote in the notice letter sent to California Secretary of State Alex Padilla.

Judicial Watch referred California officials to a settlement agreement it reached with the State of Ohio in which Ohio agreed to update and maintain its voter registration lists and to keep a current voter registration list online and available for public access.

“California’s voting rolls are an absolute mess that undermines the very idea of clean elections,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said. “It is urgent that California take reasonable steps to clean up its rolls. We will sue if state officials fail to act.”

In April, Judicial Watch sent notice-of-violation letters threatening to sue 11 states having counties in which the number of registered voters exceeds the number of voting-age citizens.  The states are: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina and Tennessee.

On July 18, Judicial Watch filed a lawsuit against Montgomery County and the Maryland State Boards of Elections under the NVRA. The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, Baltimore Division (Judicial Watch vs. Linda H. Lamone, et al. (No. 1:17-cv-02006)).

Election Integrity Project California, Inc. is a registered non-profit corporation that seeks to preserve a government of, by, and for the people. To that end, Election Integrity Project California empowers citizen volunteers through education and training to protect the integrity of the electoral process in California.

The director of Judicial Watch’s Election Integrity Project is senior attorney Robert Popper, who was formerly deputy chief of the Voting Section of the Civil Rights Division of the Justice Department.

Also, illegals can get driver's licenses in California, and they are automatically registered to vote, unless they opt out. The idea that Hillary won the popular vote because of California is totally false. She didn't win at all. This is blatant fraud. It isn't just California, it's 11 states, including New York, the other state that claims Hillary won the popular vote. The democrats are going down. Judicial Watch doesn't file frivolous suits.

GWB, as governor of Texas, gave illegals countless rights, including; driver's license, resident tuition at county and state colleges, and many others.

Texas didn't like MOTOR VOTER only because the federal government didn't completely pay for it.

No response from the liberals? Wow it must sting. Bad. Because if they had anything to say that proved it was false, they'd say so. Guess they don't got nothing to say to prove it's false... especially given the fact that it came out of the mouths of the horses that manipulated the whole thing to begin with and created the false narrative. Confirmation bias much? Yep, I think so.

None of that means there is fraud.  Trumps own staff is registered to vote in two different states.

You must have blinders on if you are denying voter fraud in California.  Their entire system of "motor voter" is fraudulent.

As for being registered in more than 1 state.. that is legal.   What is illegal is VOTING in more than 1 state.

I have no doubt that there were 3-5 million illegal votes in the last election.  There is no other way that Trump could have won.  Look at this woman who voted for him TWICE!

And in Texas we had that woman make her son vote for Hillary in place of the husband because she thought he wouldn't get around to it.

The husband did try to vote, but was voting for Trump.

Are you bipolar?  There are some times you almost sound credible, then there are times like this comment in which you are being a complete buffoon.   Is it possible you are not taking your medication?   sick and rescue

So you agree that the claim about 3-5 million illegal votes sounds like the rantings of a man who hasn't taken his medication?

Yes, it sounds exactly like you, because the exact opposite is true.  It's no secret that there are something like 11 million people illegally living in California, and due to the voter motor law, they can vote.  On top of that, Obama assured those people that they could safely cast their illegal votes without risking deportation.  These are all facts, not opinions.  It doesn't take Einstein to figure out where the voter fraud was.

There are only 11 million illegals in the entire US.  It's probably much less now because Trump claims to have stopped so many border crossings.

Please explain how can illegal immigrant can vote in California.

I wouldn't be surprised if there were a lot more illegals in the US than 11 million.

Governments notoriously always under estimate the amount of illegals so they don't look bad.

It's not hard to vote legally or illegally.   You just fill in the form and sign at the bottom.   Due to "that's racist", no proof of being a citizen is required.

11 million illegals just in California alone.

You still didn't explain.  How does having a drivers license give an illegal immigrant the power to vote?

Because in California, illegal immigrants get drivers licenses (crazy), and when one gets a driver's license, they automatically are registered to vote!  (INSANE!).
A lot of legal citizens don't vote because they are not registered to vote even if they have a driver's license.  In California, you got a driver's license, and you are automatically registered to vote!

That's not how it works at all.

Here is a California Drivers license.

Here is a California Drivers license that is given to illegal immigrants.

See the difference?  You are just repeating the fake news you got from FOX.

What is that supposed to prove?  that sample license was issued in 2009.. years before the voter motor law went into effect.
You wound up proving the opposite of what you intended.   You might also take a look at the uncropped license on top.. which doesn't have the words "Federal Limits Apply".
You should be more careful when posting your fake news.

I know exactly what I posted.  The top picture is a photo of a regular drivers license that gives a person the ability to register to vote.

The bottom picture is a drivers license given to illegal immigrants and does not give a person the right to register to vote due to the "Federal Limits Apply" label on the license.  People who are given those licenses are not automatically registered to vote and cannot register even if they wanted to.

You just buried yourself.. AGAIN!
The bottom license does indeed prevent an illegal immigrant from voting.. but.. that license was issued in 2009.. the motor voter law was not enacted until 2013.. making the first election that 11 million illegals could vote - the 2016 election!   Ding Ding!   Spank
