My dog is shedding hair what is the best way to deal with all his excess fur ?

Brushing him daily and get a vacuum cleaner made for dog hair.

raph is truly on point -- there is no substitution for regular (daily) brushing of dogs or cats -- most enjoy it, and it is good for their circulation, even (speaking as a Floridian) keeps fur out of your home's AC and costly related cleanings.
