One day after having to redo an election because North Carolina Republicans committed election fraud in the 9th District in 2018, North Carolina Republicans have hit a new low.

Instead of attending memorial events for 9/11, they broke their word to Democratic legislators and scheduled a vote to override Democratic Governor Roy Cooper's budget veto. Most of the state's Democratic legislators were attending memorial events and services to commemorate 9/11 and were given assurances that no votes would be taken; however, Republicans scheduled a vote and passed the override by a 55-9 margin.

Republicans in North Carolina, as well as in many other states, have proven that they are willing to break every single democratic norm, tradition, and establishment to get what they want. We are in a dangerous place as a country when lawmakers cannot take out time to commemorate a horrific tragedy in this country without being backstabbed and left out of an important vote in their state legislature. I personally believe our unethical and divisive president has led us to this dark moment. Sadly, I know things will only get worse from here. They broke the law already in North Carolina by committing election fraud that triggered a new election, so it will only get worse. And of course, our crooked president supports all of this illegal and deceptive activity. Sad.

I used to think North Carolina was slightly better than my state (South Carolina) but I'm not so sure now. Their GOP is just as disgusting as ours and we have Joe "You Lie" Wilson here.

Well, your fellow liberals are fucking up the UK by forcing the PM to accept whatever shitty deal the EU gives us, with no recourse.

Liberals lost the referendum, but they are shitting all over democracy by preventing it in Parliament.
