Big fan of Guild Wars when it came out; not sure if it's still active. There's a sequel but not as good imo. Can't believe how many hours I spend farming on that game over a decade ago.

Ragnarok Online
Oh, Tree of Savior perhaps? Dragon Nest or Revelation Online.

Wizardry Online. I loved the atmosphere, and the fact that its so hard, it basicly forces people to form groups in order to survive.

My all-time favorite is World of Warcraft. I know it sounds silly, but I got into the game when I learned about the Wrathion x Anduin ship. All the fanart of them made me try out WOW and I ended up enjoying it so much that I subbed. Now I have a max level Forsaken Shadow Priest who I like to role play as an archaeologist.

Another MMORPG that holds a special spot in my heart is Ragnarok Online. I played the heck out of it when I was a kid. My main in that game was the Cleric.

I really loved Mabinogi, and it had some features that were so far ahead of its time. Unfortunately, it hasn't exactly aged well due to powercreep and its significantly smaller playerbase. Plus anime communities tend to be yeah. I swore I'd be done with anime mmorpgs in general.

Nowadays, I trounce about Warframe for all the sci-fi wizardry and ridiculous parkour. The game can't decide what it want to be, but in exchange, you got a pretty solid stock of diversified content.

I really liked Final Fantasy 14. Aesthetically, it was top tier; the character creator was fantastic with tons of customization options and the maps and dungeons were beautifully designed. The outfit options were also fantastic. It just has the same shortcoming as every other MMO - once you get to endgame, you just keep grinding the same couple dungeons over and over with little else to do :\

My favourite MMORPG is Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. It was shut down in 2013, but now there is an unofficial server that is created by enthusiasts. Waiting for Camelot Unchained release.
